Welcome to Skyway Motel

Skyway Motel stands as a modest lodging option located at 380 Tonnelle Ave in Jersey City, NJ. With a rating of 3.1, it caters primarily to budget-conscious travelers seeking convenience near key urban hubs, including the PATH train station and cultural spots like the 1929 Loew’s Jersey Theatre and Mana Contemporary art shows.

Though unassuming in appearance, the motel offers surprisingly clean rooms, a detail noted by guests who appreciate basic but well-maintained accommodations. Free Wi-Fi and parking come as standard amenities, supporting the practical needs of visitors, despite the absence of extras like a fitness center, swimming pool, or on-site restaurant. The proximity to local market stores and gas stations adds a layer of functionality, ensuring guests can easily access essentials without venturing far.

Service at Skyway Motel presents a mixed experience. While the staff maintains cleanliness rigorously—sometimes refreshing rooms every few hours—there are reports of difficulty in obtaining simple requests, such as fresh towels or toiletries, which suggests room for improvement in customer care and responsiveness.

Ultimately, Skyway Motel appears to embrace its role as a no-frills, utilitarian stopover. It is especially fitting for travelers who prioritize location and affordability over luxury. The busy neighborhood environment pulses with urban energy, offering ready access to transportation and cultural venues, making it a practical choice for those who seek a clean, accessible place to rest without unnecessary bells and whistles.

In summation, Skyway Motel is a pragmatic retreat in Jersey City. It excels in cleanliness and location but could elevate its stature by enhancing service quality. For the traveler who values efficiency and convenience above all, this motel delivers a straightforward stay with easy access to the city’s vibrant cultural landscape.

For a cheap rinky dinky motel it's surprisingly very clean, that I must say. The service isn't good because as a 2nd later in the night joining person to the room I needed a clean towel and another bar of soup and upon asking for it at the desk I almost barely was able to get that. It was like pulling teeth . A good thing is that there's 2 gas station market stores. One right next door and the other across the street.
